Integrated Behind the Mirror Touchless Washroom Solutions
A behind-the-mirror hygiene system integrates the hand dryer, automatic soap dispenser, and sensor faucet inside a mirror cabinet — with only the spouts visible from the restroom side. All wiring, tanks, and hardware are concealed behind the mirror.
This solution is ideal for the following situations:
New commercial construction (hotel, airport, premium office building): When the restroom design is still in the MEP coordination phase, in-wall installation can be planned from the start. This avoids the higher cost of retrofitting later. Hokwang recommends confirming product specifications during the fit-out stage.
Restroom renovation with a premium aesthetic requirement: Facilities that want to eliminate visible wall-mounted hardware, brackets, and pipework. The behind-the-mirror approach creates a seamless, hotel-grade appearance with no visible fixtures.
Projects targeting LEED, WELL, or sustainability certifications: Our behind-the-mirror hand dryers (EcoSwift, EcoHygiene and EcoPulse) meet ADA, ErP, and LEED requirements. Green certifications are available upon request.
What Does the System Include?
Our integrated washroom solution combines high-performance components designed for seamless cabinet installation. The system features our ADA-compliant hand dryers (including InnoWash HD, EcoSwift, and EcoSlender), all of which protrude less than 4 inches (101.6mm) to fit within shallow mirror cabinets. This is paired with our versatile auto soap dispensers, which utilize an interchangeable pump system supporting liquid, foam, or sanitizer spray without needing to replace the entire unit. To ensure hygiene and safety, the system is completed by the InnoWash FA auto faucet, which is WRAS-approved and built from lead-free materials. For a premium finish, optional PVD-coated stainless steel spouts and integrated LED strip lighting are also available to enhance the user experience.
Mirror Cabinet & Installation Requirements
To ensure a successful integration, the mirror cabinet should meet specific spatial and structural requirements. For a hand dryer only, a minimum depth of 150mm (6 inches) is required, while a depth of 180mm–250mm is recommended for a full three-unit (soap, water, air) integration. The cabinet width should be planned based on the selected dryer model—for instance, the EcoSwift requires at least 165mm, while the EcoSlender needs 215mm. Please ensure the wall structure is reinforced to support the combined weight of the mirror and the hygiene units. To assist with your project planning, Hokwang provides detailed technical drawings (available in DWG and IFC formats) for download to ensure precise installation.
